Review: Raven's Cry

Raven's Cry Raven's Cry by Breanna Hayse
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

While this book is part of a series I haven't read the rest of the series. This story can stand on it's own. It is set in an different reality of the possible future and is a dark time. Raven has desires that can be considered illegal. The brothers Kendrick and Henry also have dark desires but they also have the money to acquire what they want. Together they journey along a path that seems dark yet there is love and the giving of what is craved.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Ever since my mother started reading me a "Bird's Christmas Carol" every year at Christmas during my childhood I have never taken for the granted that a sick main character will have a happy ending. So I started this book with no expected outcome. This is a sweet but tear provoking story. To watch Marcus who seems to have it all struggle to learn to live again and to see him grow and give after his encounter with Trevor is the stuff Christmas classics are made of.
